Optikal Dubs Records is returning after 5 years in paused mode, the label is back stronger than ever and representing now Latin America Drum and Bass Sound. Very much with a philosophy of crossing cultures, the label is run by Venezuelan dj producers ZoundColector, Fourtwenty Sound and Hooch. The release policy is wide ranging and diverse, with jungle, drum & bass and footwork being amongst the orders of the day.

They now present their new release, Revival Vol. 1, which features ZoundColector, Hooch, Prime Bassound and Fourtwenty Sound. The release is the perfect introduction to summer, and will allow more people to get to know Optikal Dubs and what they are about.

Zoundcoletor “The Jungle” starts with a cinematic feel that merges the 90s ambient jungle with the dirty and grimmy, with rushing breaks underpinning gruby resse basslines. There are flashes of the old skool in the beats, and futuristic synths.

Things get positive through as “Summer· turned up, the whole track is a perfect fit for the clubs and parties for 2021 and beyond. Hooch has a wicked, jungle- liquid formula which is going to take you back to the golden era of drum n bass.

“Contamination” has a darker look, as Prime Bassound explore the jungle ways. Mystery echo, reverb and pure obscure vibes as the track swap breaks and morphing basses proclaiming a simple mental philosophy.

The pace quickly picks up, as the footwork finally rises up. Fourtwenty Sound brings “You're Gonna Be Mine”, a bass tune with party drums and crazy percussions that rolls the stab synths as the whole arrangement takes you to new areas.

The revival of the label and the appeal of this release is both immediate and obvious. Optikal Dubs smash things up, big style. Revival Vol.1 EP is guaranteed to brighten your day, your week and your month. All four tracks are very special tracks, adding up to an essential release. Grab it now.
